NBC Passes on David E. Kelley’s Wonder Woman Pilot

Deadline.com is reporting that NBC is preparing to pass on a number of high-profile projects that it had been considering for airing in the Fall. It seems that one of these projects is David  E. Kelley’s reboot of the Wonder Woman TV series.

NBC hasn’t said why it is passing on the project, but ew.com has learned that the pilot earned mixed reviews at test screenings. It may also have something to do with the online reaction to the new costume, with many fans outraged that they had played down the patriotic elements of the costume, and many just concerned with how cheap and tacky it looked - I heard many people comparing the outfit to a cheap Halloween costume! Producers did listen to the criticism, and made some slight alterations to the costume, but the damage was already done!

I imagine that Warner Bros. will try to shop the pilot to other networks, so there is a chance we’ll still see it, otherwise, expect to see it leaked on to the Torrent sites in a few month’s time.
