Hellboy: The Sleeping and the Dead #1 Back in Print!

Dark Horse have announced a new printing of the highly acclaimed first issue of the Hellboy mini, The Sleeping and the Dead. If for some inexplicable reason, you missed it the first time round, I would highly recommend getting this new printing. If you miss it this time round, then you clearly have no taste in comics, and cannot be helped!

From the press release:

In a move that should come as no surprise to horror fans and Hellboy aficionados who knew the team up between Mike Mignola and Scott Hampton would be a rousing success, Dark Horse is sending Hellboy: The Sleeping and the Dead #1 back to print. Placing Mignola’s signature creation in the center of a chilling, vampire-centric tale with moody and atmospheric art from Hampton, Hellboy: The Sleeping and The Dead is “another winner from the Mignola-verse” that “turned out as good as one would hope,” according to ComicBookResources.com. MTV Geek broke it down even further: “Typically, with Hellboy stories you know what you’re going to get: a well-realized story of the supernatural, some insightful character moments, and a nice helping of horror. The Sleeping and the Dead is no different, bringing the same level of thoughtfulness and detail as previous Hellboy stories, and like the best stories about this character, it’s left me anxious to read the next issue.”

Now, Dark Horse is proud to reprint the first issue of this exciting and eerie tale—formerly a 5:1 cover ratio upon first printing, now available at 3:1. Don’t miss this chance to score issues from this lauded Hellboy mini that also acts as a perfect introduction to the unique feel and flavor of Mignola’s comic world.
