Nathan Fillion to Voice Hal Jordan in Animated Green Lantern: Emerald Knights

Nathan Fillion was one of the hot pick to play the role of Hal Jordan in this summer’s live action Green Lantern movie, but was beaten out for the role by Ryan Reynolds. Well, it looks like fans may get their wish after all, as Warner Bros. have now picked him to voice Hal Jordan in an upcoming Green Lantern animated feature.

Fillion will join a cast that includes Elisabeth Moss, Henry Rollins, Jason Isaacs, Arnold Vosloo, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Kelly Hu, Wade Williams, and talk show host Michael Jackson, who have been picked as the voice actors for Green Lantern: Emerald Knights, the latest animated movie from the DC, Warner Premiere and Warner Bros. Animation.

Along with Fillion, who will voice Hal Jordan, Elisabeth Moss will voice Arisia, a new Green Lantern Corps recruit, forced into a mission on her third day in the corps; Henry Rollins will voice Kilowog, the Green Lantern Corps Drill Sergent, who is responsible for training new recruits; Jason Isaacs will voice classic Green Lantern villain SinestroArnold Vosloo will voice Abin Sur; “Rowdy” Roddy Piper will voice Bolphunga; Kelly Hu will voice Laira; Wade Williams will voice Deegan; and Michael Jackson will voice the Guardian Ganthet.

Bruce Timm is executive producing Emerald Knights, which is being directed by Lauren Montgomery, Jay Oliva and Christopher Berkeley.

The animated movie will be released on Blu-ray, DVD and via download on June 7th, to coincide with the release of  Warner Bros.  live-action Green Lantern movie, on June 17th.
