Some of the major book publishers who will be exhibiting at C2E2 include: Archaia, DC, Del Rey Books, Marvel, Oni Press, Random House Children’s Books, and Top Shelf. Launched last year, over 400 artists and guests were on hand at C2E2 to meet thousands of fans. This year, the convention will take place March 18 – 20, 2011 and will move to the new West Building of McCormick Place where even more guests and a bigger audience may enjoy the pop culture extravaganza.

“China Miéville is an author of distinction and great accomplishment and he is a perfect example of the caliber of guest that we seek at C2E2,” notes Lance Fensterman, Group Vice President for ReedPOP and Show Manager for C2E2. “We are honored to have him at our show. He provides a terrific focal point for our literary activity which is a key component of our convention. Our goal is to provide a wide universe of entertainment for our fans and to celebrate the latest and best that pop culture has to offer in comics, books, film and TV. China Miéville certainly fulfills that objective in books.”

As noted, C2E2 will play host to some leading book publishers in the pop culture arena. In addition, C2E2 will feature other literary guests and programming including “Writers on Writing” which will bring comics, book, and entertainment writers together to talk about the craft of writing. Organizers also note that they will be announcing specific programming for librarians in the near future.
