Cleaning Out the Gutters - Discussing LITG V. 2 #170

0

It’s that time of the week when I direct everyone over to see the latest issue of Rich Johnston’s Lying in the Gutters.

Now, this is Rich’s column, so I won’t repeat everything here, I will however talk about a couple of things I found interesting.

The Great British Comics Exhibition

My God, I’d almost consider flying back to the UK for this. Rich is a lucky bastard to get his hands on such a great opportunity. Well, less lucky that just good at his job. All the great comics of my youth *sigh*. They had an comic art exhibition up in Vancouver while I was there last month to see Iron Maiden. We didn’t go in though because we only had an hour before the couch (coach back home I mean. A couch would be much cooler obviously) back home *sob*

Kick-Ass cross-over

That Mark Millar is one cheeky bastard! You have to love him though. Who else could make ludicrous claims like they reinvented the superhero genre and get away with it?? I think that’ll be the extent of how Kick-Ass crosses with his other Marvel titles though. I doubt Marvel will want readers of his all-ages stuff going over and reading stuff like he had on the last page of Kick-Ass #3. It’s pretty much a salutation in Scotland I hear

Bryan Talbot is back

Reposted from CBR:

This is a page from Brian’s new series Grandville. It looks awesome. Brian Talbot is such a wonderful artist, If you haven’t read Alice in Sunderland, go and buy it now, it is amazing

That’s about all that caught my attention….. bye!
