Comic Book Covers of the Week - Week of Wednesday 06 August 2021
It’s time for a new feature! The plan is, I look through all the comics that have come out this week and pick out which ones have the nicest covers. It’s a simple idea, but it could be fun.

[ED note, this feature has actually appeared on the blog before. I wasn't really making a serious effort at blogging back then though, but I thought I would dredge this feature up and see if people liked it]
Favourite Covers:
This is the cover to House of Mystery #4, by Sam Weber. Sam Weber has been supplying some simply gorgeous covers to this series. This is possibly the best he has done so far. It takes elements from the story and arranges them into this beautifully painted montage. Outstanding.
This is the cover to Jack of Fables #24 by Brian Bolland. Brian Bolland is one of the greatest comic book artists of all time. You don’t see him doing much nowadays, so it a real treat for me seeing these covers every month.
This menacing little cover is from Crossed #0, and is by Jacen Burrows. It’s a great cover, because apart from being brilliantly drawn, it really stands out on the shelf. People are likely to see the face with the bloody cross on it, and want to see what it is all about, which is what a good cover should dot. I’ll be reviewing this comic today, so look out for that later.
