Stuart Beattie to Write and Direct Kevin Grevioux’s ‘I, Frankenstein’

THR.com is reporting that Stuart Beattie has come aboard the Lakeshore Entertainment project I, Frankenstein as writer and director.

The film is based on the Darkstorm Studios graphic novel of the same name, created by actor/writer Kevin Grevioux. The story follows the original monster of Victor Frankenstein who is the only force that stands between the human race and an uprising of supernatural creatures determined to overthrow the world.

Grevioux is most famous for co-created the Underworld movie franchise, and also appears in the movies himself as the lycan, Raze.

Gary Lucchesi, Tom Rosenberg and Richard Wright are producing I, Frankenstein for Lakeshore. Grevioux, who first penned the adapted screenplay, will serve as an executive producer.

The filmmakers are looking to a fall shoot.
