National Cartoonist Society Announces 2011 Reuben Awards Nominees

The National Cartoonist Society has announced the nominees for the the 65th Annual Reuben Awards. The winners will be announced Memorial Day Weekend at the Reuben Awards dinner.

Comic fans are probably mostly interested in the nominees for the comic book and graphic novels categories. Comics artists nominated this year were Stan Sakai for Usagi Yojimbo, Chris Samnee for Thor the Mighty Avenger, and Jill Thompson for Beasts of Burden. Graphic novel artists nominated were Darwyn Cooke for Parker: The Outfit, Joyce Farmer for Special Exits, and James Sturm for Market Day.
