Updated: Dynamite Gets ‘Voltron’ Comics License

0

[Update, it was confirmed during the Dynamite panel at C2E2 that Dynamite do now own the Voltron license, with plans to release comic in July or August. No other details were given]

According to ICV2 a press release that they have received  from Classic Media and World Event Productions seems to indicates that Dynamic Forces, the parent company of Dynamite Entertainment, has acquired the rights to publish new comic books and graphic novels based on the classic Voltron property.

This follows the news that leaked out last Spring,  that Moonstone Books had been out bid in attempt to secure the Voltron license.

Dynamite has not yet announced the acquisition of the property or the date of release of its Voltron comic, but if the news is true, we can expect them to release a press statement to that effect shortly.
