Johnny Ryan Provides Covers for the Spanish Edition of Vice Magazine


Superstar underground cartoonist Johnny Ryan (Prison Pit, Angry Youth Comix, Blecky Yuckerella) has provided two covers for an upcoming Spanish language edition of Vice Magazine.

From what I can tell from Vice‘s Spanish website (my Spanish is not what it used to be), this issue is all about war, focusing on the romanticized version of the geopolitical situation in Afghanistan and Iran that the US tells its citizens, and then looking at the ugly state of how things really are. To this end, Vice have commissioned two versions of the cover from Johnny, one a warm fantasty, and one the cold harsh reality. Check the images out below:
