DC Announces Batman: Noel, an Original Graphic Novel by Lee Bermejo

1

Yesterday, at the ComicsPRO retailers convention in Dallas, DC announced that Lee Bermejo, the critically acclaimed artist on the bestselling graphic novel The Joker, will be writing and drawing an original Batman graphic novel titled Batman: Noel. A book that DC describes as being a holiday story… with a twist.

While Bermejo has notched up many illustration credits at DC, such as his collaborations with Brian Azzerello on The Joker and Luthor, Batman: Noel will mark his debut as a writer.

Bermejo is also the latest in a string of DC artists who have picked up writing gigs with the publisher, with Tony Daniel now writing and illustrating Batman, David Finch on Batman: The Dark Knight, and JH Williams III on Batwoman. I wonder what that’s all about?
