From the press release:

Thanks to everyone who attended the Cartoon Art Museum’s Sixth Annual Comics 4 Comix stand-up comedy benefit, which was held at San Francisco’s famed Punchline Comedy Club. This event was made possible by the generous sponsorship of The InterContintal Hotel, KidRobot, Shmaltz Brewing, 104.5 KFOG and, of course, our loyal members and friends.

C$C 2010 featured an epic hour-long set by headliner Dana Gould. We encourage fans of stand-up comedy to purchase his latest DVD, Let Me Put My Thoughts In You.

There was a special encore “suprise cameo” by global icon Yuri, visiting from the Moscow Museum of Cartoon Art.

(>Psst!< ‘Yuri’ is actually Comedian, Painter / Sclulptor + Trapeze Instructor Michael Meehan. Check out his videos and original paintings at www.michaelmeehanart.com )

Our featured performer was local favorite Joe Klocek. Comedy fans should check out Joe’s acclaimed storytelling show, Previously Secret Information, at http://www.standupjoe.com

For the sixth year, Comics 4 Comix was Produced and Hosted by Comedian and Cartoonist Michael Capozzola. His cartoon Surveillance Caricatures appears each Thursday in the San Francisco Chronicle’s 96 Hours section: http://www.sfgate.com/columnists/capozzola/archive and can also be seen at http://www.facebook.com/SurveillanceCaricatures

Thanks to everyone who supported this event! We look forward to seeing all of you at Comics 4 Comix 2011.
