From the press release:

resident of the Comic Book Hall of Fame, Roger Rautio proudly announced today that his organization has been invited to be official guests of the Ultimate Comics Group at New York Comic Con. The Comic Book Hall of Fame is an organization whose purpose is to honor the people who bring us, the fans, comic magazines and all they entail and maintain comic magazines as a high art form. Current goals of the Hall are to establish a permanent physical structure and have annual inductions, proceeded by a comic convention, where inductees and fans alike may celebrate the tradition of comics.

Ultimate Comics Group, LLC is a progressive publisher committed to creating the best quality comic book entertainment for readers who demand awesome characters that exist in a universe with cohesive and logical continuity. Some of their known titles include The Enchanting Essence, Stormblazer, Metapatriot and Stiletto. The Comic Book Hall of Fame will appear throughout the entire convention weekend at the UCG Booth #744.

Rautio and the remainder of the Comic Book Hall of Fame have several activities planned to promote and educate fans on the importance of celebrating the accomplishments of legendary comic book artists. Besides their time at the UCG booth, Rautio plans to circulate through the convention floor, speaking to fans. The Comic Book Hall of Fame members plan to utilize Professional Hours on Friday morning of the convention to meet and greet some of the NYCC guests of honor. One specific plan is to meet John Romita Sr. to have him sign the original production art to the cover of Amazing Spiderman #121, “The Death of Gwen Stacey,” one of the most Iconic issues in comic book history.

New York Comic Con is held each year at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City. This year’s show, which is predicted to be the largest in its 5 year history, is scheduled for Columbus Day Weekend, October 8 through 10. In addition to Romita, some of the guests slated to appear include Stan Lee, Joe, Adam and Andy Kubert, Brian Michael Bendis and John Romita Jr. For more information on the convention, visit http://www.newyorkcomiccon.com.
