Fangoria.com is reporting that an un-cited source on the crew of AMC’s The Walking Dead adaptation has informed them that the series will begin shooting it’s second season, beginning in February 2011, in Atlanta, Georgia. However, an AMC rep has informed Fangoria that the pickup for another round of episodes has yet to be confirmed.

Based on the Robert Kirkman penned Image Comics comic-book series, The Walking Dead is executive-produced by Frank Darabont and Gale Anne Hurd, among others.

The first episode of the series will debut on AMC on Haloween Night
