From the press release

Toronto, ON—Forget everything you know about robots. Meet Boris—the resident robot of leisure assigned to the Zükünfthaus model home. One event is about to change his life and challenge everything he’s been programmed to believe.

In Boris and the Open House, it is the first open house for Zükünfthaus and Boris gets the opportunity to show off his skills for hordes of potential homebuyers. As Boris prepares for the festivities, he is frequently distracted by his own enjoyment of his tasks. When the day doesn’t go as planned, Boris copes with dashed expectations and uncertainty for the future.

The six-part Robot of Leisure series follows Boris as he adjusts to his newfound freedom. Now this relic of an unrealized future must confront and conquer solitude, obsolescence and his own identity. With no one to serve, Boris pursues his own life of leisure…but will he be content with mere frivolity?

Boris and the Open House, the first installment of the series is available as a free preview at the Robot of Leisure website. The second installment, Boris Makes a Friend is scheduled for release in late Fall 2010. Along with the book preview, the website contains history about the character of Boris, past artwork and videos about the series.
