Green Lantern Effects Worker Sues Warner Bros. for On-Set Injury

THR.com is reporting that a man who claims that he was a special effects worker on the upcoming Green Lantern movie has sued Warner Bros., claiming he was severely injured by effects work gone wrong.

The claimant, John Franco, filed the lawsuit on Wednesday, April 6th in Los Angeles Superior Court, claiming unspecified damages from an incident he claims took place in July 2010, on the Louisiana set of the movie.

Franco claims that the accident caused him to suffer “numerous internal and external injuries, severe fright, shock, pain, discomfort and anxiety.” The suit is for negligence, peculiar risk, ultrahazardous activity and loss of consortium, and includes as defendants Warner Bros. Entertainment, Warner Bros. Pictures Group, Big Moose Llc., DC Comics, and South Bay EFX Inc.
