Andi Ewington and Ben McCool Named in Wizard’s Five Writers to Watch in 2011
Andi Ewington and Ben McCool, two of my favourite new writers, and good Twitter/Facebook/Email friends, have been named in Wizardworld‘s “Five on the Rise”, being a list of writers to watch in 2011. Congratulations, guys! I couldn’t agree with them more!
I hope everyone out there is picking up Ben’s excellent Memoir series, he also did a great series called Choker, with some guy called Ben Templesmith Also, make sure to look out for Andi’s next project, titled Bluespear, to be solicited in an upcoming issue of Previews (I’ll also be sure to pimp it out here).
This list also reminds me that I want to start reading Jim Zubvavich’s Skullkickers. It’s one of series that now all the good reviews are out, I’m kicking myself for not picking it up from the get-go. I was going to pick up the ECCC exclusive hardcover when I was at the con two weeks ago, but it’s one of the many things that I didn’t manage to find the time for. [Note to self: Skullkickers #7 looks like a great jumping on point, add it to your file at the comic store!]
