The Comics Journal #301 Hits The Printers, and The Final Cover Revealed

0

Mike Baehr at Fantagraphics reports that the highly anticipated 301st issue of The Comics Journal was sent to the printers last week, after a few delays and final tweaks, and should be available some time in May, priced at $24.99.

In addition, FB have posted a look at the final artwork for the book’s cover, which is guest designed by internationally respected Criterion art director Eric Skillman.

Anyone reading this should go and preorder a copy right now. I already have a subscription to the Journal, so I never miss an issue!

For close to thirty years now, The Comics Journal has been the standard by which all other comic journalism has been judged, and has been found wanting.  It is an essential publication for anyone who loves comics!

Short description:

The Journal is reborn. In these 600+ pages: R. Crumb interview & critical roundtable on Genesis; Joe Sacco interview; Jim Woodring, Tim Hensley & Stephen Dixon sketchbooks; Jaffee & Kupperman in conversation; Gerald McBoing Boing; much more.
