From the press release:

Thursday, December 16th, from 4:30PM to 6:30PM

Midtown Comics – Downtown

64 Fulton St, NYC

Midtown Comics in New York City will present John Layman signing Advance Copies of Chew #16 at our new Downtown location. Advance copies of Chew #16 will be sold only during the signing event.

Chew #16 is part one of the five part “Flambé” storyline. Mother Clucker’s Homestyle Fried Chicken Palace is open for business! In a world where the FDA cracks down hard on anyone caught eating chicken, this should be interesting!

Chew has won the Eisner and Harvey Award this year for best new series.

John Layman is a former editor for Wildstorm who turned to writing comics full-time in 2002 and mainly writes for Image Comics with some notable work for Marvel Comics. He has also worked on several comic books based on pre-existing licenses such as Xena: Warrior Princess, ThunderCats, as well as crossovers like Marvel Zombies vs. The Army of Darkness and Army of Darkness/Xena: Why Not? Layman has written a number of creator-owned titles at Image Comics, such as the graphic novel Puffed and the highly popular Chew with artist Rob Guillory.
