It really pisses me off they brought back Bullseye; I mean, if you’re going to kill him in the opening issue, only to bring him back, how are you going to convince me it wasn’t just a shock tactic to boost sales?
What really annoys me about this is that it represents a growing trend in crossovers to kill characters in the first issue in order to say “this is serious, you guys. Seriously.” No matter how good Diggle writes now, it just feels cheap. We all know what’s going to happen: the brainwashing will either be disrupted of ineffectual, and Bullseye will live to kill another day.
First lesson of superhero comics, no one ever truly dies.
