PREVIEWS Next: July Issue Spotlights DC’s Blackest Night #9-#10 and Image/Top Cow’s Artifacts #3

New issue arrives in comic shops June 23 and features products on sale beginning September 2010

(BALTIMORE, MD)(June 10, 2010) — The events of DC Comics’ best-selling Blackest Night comic series led to the start of the chart-topping story of Brightest Day, following 12 resurrected heroes and villains on their quest to find out why they’ve been given a second chance. The front cover of July’s PREVIEWS, the comic shops’ catalog, is dedicated to BRIGHTEST DAY #9 & #10, turning points for the 26-issue, bi-weekly series.

In these new chapters from fan-favorite creators Geoff Johns, Peter J. Tomasi, Ivan Reis, Patrick Gleason, Ardian Syaf, Scott Clark, and Joe Prado, the resurrected now know their purpose, but what is their next move? Plus, readers will be introduced to a new character important to Brightest Day and the future of the DC Universe.

July PREVIEWS’ back cover features Image Comics/Top Cow Productions ARTIFACTS #3, the next chapter of Top Cow’s 13-issue max-series that promises to change the landscape of the entire Top Cow Universe by its conclusion. For this issue from writer Ron Marz and artist Michael Broussard, Witchblade-bearer Sara Pezzini and Darkness host Jackie Estacado have teamed to hunt down their missing daughter, while the story’s unseen villain continues to manipulate other characters in hopes of ending the world.
