Whatever Happened to the World’s Fastest Man? Nominated for the 2009 Eagles Awards
Whatever Happened to the World’s Fastest Man? is a one-shot graphic novella from Accent UK, written by Dave West, with artwork by Marleen Lowe. Last year, I managed to get my hands on an advance copy of the comic, and it blew me away with it’s luscious artwork, and griping storyline (see my review: here). Therefore, it comes as no surprise to me the Whatever Happened to the World’s Fastest Man? has been nominated in this year’s Eagle Awards, in the category of Best British Black & White Comic Book.
The book has some stiff competition in this category though, and is up against the always excellent Futurequake, and Emma Vieceli’s masterpiece, Dragon Heir.
I have to tell you, I’m going to have a hard time voting in this category! But whatever you vote for, make sure that you get your votes in for this years awards: http://www.eagleawards.co.uk/vote.aspx
