The Village Voice Selects Do Androids Dream Of Electric Sheep? As One of 2009’s Best Graphic Novels!

BOOM! Studios have just informed Hypergeek that their wonderful adaptation of Philip K. Dick’s Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? (one of my favourite novels of all time) has made it on to the Village Voice’s list of best Graphic Novels of 2009.
I’ve really been enjoying this series, which is saying something, because I normally try to avoid adaptations completely. BOOM! have taken a unique approach with this one, and have adapted the complete text of the novel, much of which appears in text boxes atop the beautiful illustrations.
Sadly, I had to drop the single issues with #5, due to financial difficulties, but intend to pick up the collections at a later date. If you’ve not yet checked it out, I can’t recommend it highly enough!
