Oni Press is pleased to announce part one of THE SIXTH GUN short story Them What Ails Ya: A Christmas Yarn is now LIVE! In celebration of the holiday season and in preparation for the release of their upcoming Oni Press series THE SIXTH GUN, creators Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt bring you a prose tale of medicine shows, magic tonics, outlaws, cannibals, and bona fide Christmas miracles. Each segment will feature a chapter of Cullen Bunn’s prose short accompanied by a Brian Hurtt illustration, beginning today and running every Tuesday until the week of Christmas EXCLUSIVELY on the Oni Press blog www.onipress.com/blog.

An epic dark fantasy set in the Old West, THE SIXTH GUN is a new ongoing, full color series from Oni Press launching in early May 2010. During the darkest days of the Civil War, wicked cutthroats came into possession of six pistols of otherworldly power. In time, the Sixth Gun—the most dangerous of the weapons—vanished. When the gun surfaces in the hands of an innocent girl, dark forces reawaken. Vile men thought long dead set their sights on retrieving the gun and killing the girl. Only Drake Sinclair, a gunfighter with a shadowy past, stands in their way.
