Mike Carey Tells Forbidden Planet his Favourite Comics, Graphic Novels, and Movies of 2009

The Forbidden Planet International blog has posted an interview Mike Carey, where they have him pick out his favourite Comic Books, Graphic Novels, and Movies of the last year.
Mike is one of my very favourite writers, and I consider him a man with impeccable taste. In the piece he makes some great picks, including Peter Milligan’s Greek Street as his favorite series, and the recent animated movie of Neil Gaiman’s Coraline as his favourite film.
He also makes a picks a couple of graphic novels that I’ve not actually heard of, so I’ll be sure to check those out. That’s why I love these lists, they’re a good way to discover great books that didn’t get the press they deserved. I should be doing my own best of the year list sometime this week, so look out for that.
