Whatever Happened to the World’s Fastest Man? Picked Up by Diamond for North American Distribution.

I have just been informed by Colin Methieson of Accent UK (see Small Press Spotlight) that Accent’s latest project, Whatever Happened to the World’s Fastest Man (WHTTWFM) was picked up by Diamond Distribution and will be available to order in November 09’s Previews Magazine for shipping in January 2010.
No order code has been assigned to the release yet, but make sure to check for it under ‘Accent UK‘, which should be right at the front of the general section of the book.
If you have not yest read my review of WHTTWFM, you really should get over there and read it now! It was a fantastic book and I can’t wait to get my hands on a physical copy.
Do remember however that Diamond Distribution have upped their minimum order number, which means that if their are not enough pre-orders by the cut-off time Diamond can drop the title!!! So make sure to ask your retailer to order you a copy. You don’t NEED the diamond order code, if you have a decent retailer you should be able to call up or email them, and ask them to put you an order in as soon as it becomes available. If your retailer won’t do that then make sure to pick up the November issue of Previews Magazine, grab the order number and give it to him. If they still won’t do it then go to another store, stores like that don’t deserve your business. These stores exist, and I despise them – the kind of store that won’t order in 2000 AD because they want at least 10 people to order – ridiculous!
My review of WHTTWFM has had several hundred thousand readers, so as long as all those people pre-order Accent UK should be sorted for distribution!

thanks again for your support … it’s a real struggle being a small fish in such a big pond. Reviews and support from people like yourself make all the difference to us.
