The 16th biannual London MCM (Movies, Comics & Media) Expo will be held on 24-25 October 2009 at the Excel, London.

The MCM expo is more of a multimedia convention, in the vein of Comic-Con International, and features the following areas:

• Anime Village
• Comic Village
• Cosplay Village
• Games Village
• The Main Stage
• Manga Alley

The Comic Village is one of the newest additions to the London MCM expo, but its popularity is gowning incredibly quickly, enabling them to book bigger and better guests every time!

The October guest list has several impressive “big” names on it, as well as a veritable who’s who of the British small press and independent comic scene. I am really hoping to get to go to this convention when I head back to the UK later this year. There are so many of my favourite creators on the line-up, as well as several good friend, who I would love to catch up with.

I just applied for my UK passport last week, which should take 6 to 8 weeks, so my plan is to head to the UK for the first three weeks of October, catching the con on my last week in the county, before rushing back home to Victoria to catch the 1st annual Victoria Comic Convention, which is being held on Halloween weekend! So, I haven’t been to the UK for close to six years… much changed??

This is all tentative, as if my mum dies before then… well, I haven’t really planned for anything other than a nervous breakdown…
